Evoro Group owns and operates EPA-licensed collection, transport and treatment facilities across four states. Annual treatment capacity — up to 60 million litres at the Laverton facility
Our flagship Laverton North facility processes up to 60 million litres of hazardous and liquid waste each year. It’s the scale of a major operator, purpose-built and EPA-licensed, and engineered to treat and recover a broad range of complex streams to a high environmental standard.
Hazardous waste treated — in the order of 25,000 tonnes per annum across the group
Across the group, Evoro treats around 25,000 tonnes of hazardous waste every year — the difficult, high-risk material that the broader market isn’t equipped to handle. It’s a volume that reflects both the breadth of our licences and the trust placed in us by industrial, government and infrastructure clients.
Landfill diversion — approximately 95% at the Laverton treatment facility
At Laverton, roughly 95% of received waste is diverted from landfill. That figure is the recovery-first model in action: material is recovered, recycled or treated wherever possible, and disposal is the last resort rather than the default — turning our environmental philosophy into a measurable outcome.
What is Evoro Group's role in the circular economy?
Australia has set a clear national direction: an 80% average resource recovery rate across all waste streams by 2030, and a doubling of national circularity by 2035. Hazardous and liquid waste streams are among the most difficult to divert from landfill, because recovering value from them requires specialised treatment capability, technical expertise and licensed infrastructure. That is precisely the part of the national task Evoro Group is built to address.
Our contribution is operational, not aspirational. We recover reusable product from streams typically destroyed — including oils and certain chemicals — divert approximately 95% of waste from landfill at Laverton, and invest in R&D to extend the range of waste that can be recovered rather than disposed of.
Our flagship facility — Laverton North, Victoria
Developed at a cost of approximately $17 million, the Laverton North facility is a purpose-built, EPA-licensed treatment and resource recovery plant — Evoro Group’s largest treatment investment to date. It diverts approximately 95% of received waste from landfill and processes up to 60 million litres each year.
